A Guide To
Roofing Systems
Not every home calls for the same roof. Climate, architecture, budget, and what you want your house to feel like from the street — all of it shapes the right choice. What follows is a guide to the five systems we build most often across the Salt Lake Valley.
A Signature System
The Classic
Architectural Asphalt Shingle
The most-installed roof in America — and for good reason. Architectural shingles deliver durability, dimension, and a clean finished look at a price point that makes them the right answer for the vast majority of homes. Multiple profiles and a wide color range mean they work across virtually every architectural style.

The Standing Seam
Metal Roofing
Clean lines, raised seams, and a lifespan that outlasts nearly every other system on the market. Standing seam metal is the premium choice for modern and contemporary architecture — and increasingly, for homeowners who want to roof a house once and never think about it again. Wind-resistant, fire-resistant, and nearly maintenance-free.

The Heritage
Clay & Concrete Tile
For homes that call for something with weight and history, tile delivers. Clay tile has covered roofs in the American Southwest for centuries — it handles Utah's heat and cold without losing its character. Concrete tile offers the same classic profile at a lower entry point, in a wider range of colors. Both systems are fire-rated Class A and built to last a lifetime.

The Summit
Metal Shake
The look of a hand-split cedar shake with the performance of steel. Metal shake profiles give mountain and craftsman homes the texture and warmth of a traditional wood roof — with none of the maintenance, fire risk, or deterioration. Panels interlock for superior wind uplift resistance, and the coatings are engineered to hold color across decades of Utah sun and snow.

The Flat Line
TPO / EPDM Low-Slope & Commercial
Low-slope and commercial roofs are a different discipline, and we treat them that way. TPO membranes reflect UV and heat, lowering cooling loads on commercial buildings. EPDM is proven in cold climates with decades of reliable performance. Both systems are heat-welded at seams, inspected with water testing, and warrantied for the membrane and the installation. No shortcuts on low-slope.
